Karen Rue

Karen Rue joined Cascade Policy Institute in 2022 as Executive Assistant. Karen supports Cascade’s development operations and the Children’s Scholarship Fund-Oregon. A program of Cascade, CSF-Oregon empowers low-income families to choose the K-8 schools that best meet their children’s needs through partial scholarships to tuition-based schools.

Prior to joining the Cascade Policy Institute team, Karen served Northwest nonprofits in Human Resources and Executive Assistant roles and worked in the fields of historic preservation and urban planning in the Portland-Metro area. A lifelong Oregonian, Karen is passionate about maintaining and improving the livability of our region for generations to come.

Karen received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of Oregon.
