Thank you for the program on energy with Joan Dukes and Todd Wynn. It appeared Todd had much more knowledge and information on the subject from real life examples whereas Joan was coming from more of a policy built upon a fear of climate change with no stated basis for such fear.
The program was well balanced. Thank you for that.
Jane twice commented that our energy prices would go down if we were to accept government mandated conservation policies. For all who believe this, please close your eyes and take one step to your left. …Todd essentially made the same point when he correctly noted the power monopolies’ latest, significant rate increases.
Also, if we are going to talk global-warming speak, let’s agree that the issue is primarily the burning of coal (again, Todd essentially makes this point when he says that the addition of wind power to the grid will turn-off any coal-burning power plants). Natural gas and nuclear power have emerged as the middle way forward for the next thirty years. …Now let’s talk about conservation!
